Department of Geography
The Department of Geography was established with establishment of this College on 2004 at general level. Department of Geography was started at special level in 2005. Since 2004 the department is successfully run by faculty members.
Now the department is full-fledged actively engaged in teaching and learning activities in order to cater the needs of today’s changing world. The department has fulfilled all equipments, facilities, infrastructure and laboratory that are required for teaching, learning and research. The faculty of department is engaged in teaching and extension activities. The department has been organizes various academic activities regularly in order to develop research culture among the learning community.
Aim and Objectives of the Department
- To available the qualitative education in Geography at undergraduate level in rural areas.
- To make the student aware about Earth System (Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Biosphere and Atmosphere).
- To develop the students theoretical, practical and computational skills.
- To aware the student about need of protection and conservation of environment.
- To create geographical interest among the student.
- To development of students personality through extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Activities
- Department celebrates the various days and Functions as a occasionally.
- Individual Guidance about the career and competitive examinations.
- Department organizes educational tour on 16 and 17 January 2019 and prepares report on That.
- Geography Day celebrate on 14 February 2019.
