Department of Political Science is established in the year 2004. Political Science as a special subject (U.G.) was introduced from 1974 in Savitribai Phule Pune University. The faculty Prof. Katke S.M. is working as a U.G. teacher. Strength of the students is increasing day by day and at present 175 students are taking their education during Academic year 2018-19.

Aims and Objectives of Department

• To avail the qualitative education in Political science at UG rural area.
• To ensure the overall personality development of students through extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
• To organize various extension activities for cultivation of human values and National Integration.
• To transfer the knowledge and skills for fulfillment of the changing needs of society in the process of modernization.
• To invoke the Political interest among the students.
